Happy New Year. What better time for household cleanouts? I will make it easy for you. Let's start with the refrigerator. This appliance holds our dirty secrets. Expired food, spills, and moldy veggies all hide within its depths. Before your next grocery trip, spend a few hours (yes, it will probably take that long or longer) and begin the deep dive. This task is very helpful for anyone who struggles with physical limitations (especially standing). Start at the top and work your way down. Pull everything out from the top shelf. Discard items that are expired or you will never use. If the shelf comes out, wash it in the sink. If not, give it a good sponge or towel scrub. Dry when finished. Put it back and start with the next row. Also, wash the interior back and sides. Don't forget the drawers. When everything is clean and dry all items, that you are keeping, go back.
Tip! Add a lazy susan to a shelf. (Measure before purchasing). Remember those items lost in the back? With a quick turn you can find those little bottles that tend to hide from view.
